About this Story....

Welcome to "Caterpillars to Butterflies." This is a narrative of our faith journey and the incredible transformation God performed in our lives from 2007 to 2009. It is a story of God's unwavering faithfulness and what happens when we choose to trust Him, regardless of how circumstances appear. Through hardships, struggles, loss, and confusion, God revealed Himself to my husband, Tom, and me. We learned invaluable lessons about letting go of our own logic and understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6), surrendering our personal goals, and embracing His eternal purpose for our lives. Ultimately, this journey revealed His redeeming and transforming love for us. We hope our story inspires you to nurture your own faith and deepen your relationship with Him, trusting in His faithfulness no matter what challenges you face. May our journey from caterpillars to butterflies encourage you on your path.

Stepping into the Unknown with Faith

Happy New Year! Tom and I had a nice quiet evening last night, watching old movies and then ending with prayer and worship. It was a good way to start the New Year.

Well, tomorrow is the “big day” when the house will be auctioned off. We had someone come to our door today who will be bidding on it. He was asking about our situation and wondered if we were trying to work things out with the bank. It is so hard to keep our eyes on the Lord and to trust at this time. No matter what He chooses to do, we need to trust that He is in control. It seems like every time I read the Word I see key phrases that I need to hear.

Today they were in Luke 1:37: “For nothing is impossible with God.” And Luke 1:45: “Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!” Thank you, Lord, that you are always there to encourage us. You are so faithful and true. Help me in my unbelief!

E is still pregnant. She has an appointment tomorrow, so we will see what her status is.

Lord, thank you for all you do—your provision, your faithfulness, guidance, peace, and courage. We could not do this without you! Amen.
